Building a Custom Garage Made Easy!
At Nevin Contracting, we make building a custom garage on your property simple and stress-free. Here’s how the process works, step by step.
We Build All Sizes
Getting Started
1. Choose your garage size
We recommend marking out your desired garage location and size using string and wooden stakes. Consider how you will be using or what you want to store inside and the height you’ll need to comfortably fit everything. Garage size and height can vary depending on what’s permitted in your municipality
2. Check with your municipality
Contact your local municipality to confirm that the size and location you want are allowed on your property
3. Contact Nevin Contracting
Once you have approval, give us a call—we’ll take care of the rest.
THE NEXT STEPS
Step One: A $1,000 deposit is collected to cover design work and building permit fees.
Step Two: We finalize the design with the customer, complete the permit process and book in the concrete contractor.
Step Three: Once the permit is approved, construction begins
Step Four: After the concrete pad is completed and passes inspection, we invoice 30% of the total project cost.
Step Five: After framing is completed and passes inspection, we invoice an additional 30%. The remaining balance is due after final inspection.
You only pay at each stage once the work is completed and approved.
From design and permits to construction and final inspection, the entire process typically takes 3–5 months.
